Sorry. Great color. Big and orange is still the highest standard.

Oh my another one and ya I would say a tad upset. Sorry Ian over the years have seen you lose way more big contenders than most growers could stand! Yes it's all part n' parcel with growing AGs however most usually later in the season of course due to growing outside and timing for weigh offs. But to see you put so much work, time and investment into this makes it even harder to swallow. I have to ask and no doubt you have a rational explanation...why start so early? Because by September things would be pretty well starting to shut down and matured yet another whole month before any major weigh offs? I know that elusive 3,000 pounder. Fishing same thing ...the big one that got away! Take care and best to you and luck for the rest of the season. Danny

This hobby is so cruel but yet rewarding at times, i believe we can both agree the rewarding part makes all of the abuse we take worth it. I know you will prevail. Best wishes with the rest i am always rooting for you my friend.

Danny, I need the pumpkins to max out which means I really need them to be growing for at least 120days. Thank you all for the kind words

OK Ian thanks, I would say maxed out as it appears that's what is required for the elusive 3,000 pounder! You and a few others pretty well have the size of the fruit mastered now just to have that bonus weight percentage.
