I believe the iron readings are high dur to a liquid iron application I used to curtail moss that was growing in the patch and might have skewed the readings. What I don't get is that although my patch shows above optimum PPM the CEC ratings on K are low...Anybody with any suggestion would be appreciated....can I foliar feed the K....

11% of my base saturation is tied up somewhere??? could it be in the micro's??

Did a tissue test substantiate this potash concern? If so, foliar K is a good idea.

I haven't done a tissue test Steve...Just had them redo the test evaluation to give me the CEC's and they came back with these numbers...Had I just left it with the PPM readings and not the CEC's done I would have been fat dumb and happy knowing the the soil was fully charged...but when I saw the K as showing low in it's CEC rating I became concerned....and the totals of the CEC percentages only add up to 89 %...Not really knowing enough about the consequences just thought I'd find out if anybody saw a reason for the tie up. Tissue test will be expensive at a time that the money is tight...Plants all look healthy and are running since the heat came through.

Your Fe works out to 1.2 meq/100g or 5.5% of the base saturation. The rest is likley H+... Put down some kelp or a touch of green sand. Micronized kelp powder is very high in K and would certianly provide other goodies as well.

Thanks guys for your inputs...I have soluable Kelp for foliar feeding with the molassess and fish...just not sure about these things.
