At the patch 8 foun$ two good and two bad. Start8ng with th3 good, the vines greened up and a female is in sight 9n my longest secondary at like 6-9' so 100-200 lbs I can maybe get this year. Now for the bad. the vines are growing extremely slowly but with tha5 fertilizer hopefully it'll pick up soon but now the internode structure is like 2.5 inches which is crazy which leads me to believe that it's directly connected to vine griwth. Now fir the las5 of the bad, the squash bugs are hammering me and since m6 patc( is a kilometer away I am not always there and I do go on vacation in the summer and I will miss eggs especially on a huge plant. Last year I was in a patch in my yard where no pumpkins ever griw before I didn't use any pesticide it was fine this yea4 8 stepped in58 a patch with pumpkins bien* griwn there for decades and used repellents insects bombarded my plants. Next year I'll try organic pesticides that kill the bugs like hot pepper wax or someThing else any ideas?
