So my after work inspection proved that the rot was getting worse. I split the main straight through about 15 inches long and cleaned out any rot. I sprayed it with alcohol and have fans on it. I'm hoping that it will dry out and not progress but I feel like those are pipe dreams. At this point I've already got my personal best and would love to just get it to a scale in a little over a month. I did have a thought, what if I cut the main off behind the pumpkin and leave the plant that is out ahead of the pumpkin? Anyone ever successfully do this? Thanks.
