It's been a while since I updated my diary so I figured I would do that now! No pics today as I haven't taken any in a while, just been worrying over pollination and there's tons of grass in my patch after two weeks of rain, so I didn't want to hear it haha I had my first viable female flower pop up a couple of weeks ago and instead of opening, it just withered and died :( I patiently waited and now I have one that is now on 3 DAP and two that I pollinated this morning. I'm hoping the first one has not aborted, I pollinated the hell out of it! It's still growing steadily, I think, and it's strong on the vine, the flower hasn't wilted yet either, which is concerning me. The other two I'm hoping will take as well and I have a few more female flowers that'll be ready in the next week or so if these don't work. I had to cull my Lowe's plant, it just wasn't growing very well and every female flower it produced would harden up before it had a chance to make a flower, so I think he was doomed. I also planted three backup seedlings and had to cull two yesterday, one is still holding strong. Once I have "the" fruit on its way, I'll cull at least one of my main plants to keep from overcrowding the other two and then it'll be down to choosing between my last two. It'll be tough!
