The other side has a vertical split, caused by tension. The pumpkin grew very fast, faster than I did, since I didn't realize there was too much tension. The damage is done; it will probably heal well, but the pumpkin's growth will no longer be at 100% of the plant's potential. I think we'll be around 70%. I know this because this pumpkin grew up to 45 cm in a single day, and after the split, it dropped to 30-32 cm and hasn't grown beyond 32 cm since.
