Thursday, January 21 View Page Well, it's time for me to fess up on my fail.lol I was unable to get my winter challenge tomato to set fruit.:( I tried first my hps bulb for weeks, then tried to go back to my mh but no luck. I ended up just letting the plant go wild and it turned into a 5 foot wide bush. It had over 100 flowers, but all just dropped off. I'm not sure what the problem was but I have an idea, my humidity was way low because I had to vent the closet both when the light was on , because of to much heat and when the light was off because the closet would get so cold. That drastic change in temperature was not what the plant wanted . Or there was a nutrient problem, one that I could not figure out. Oh well .it was fun and I'm glad I gave it a try. Looks like Qtip is in the leed with 12.8oz, great job man, your a better indoor grower then me!!! (this time muhahaha) lol. Also, nice fish man!!!!! Best of luck to the remaining growers in the challenge. I will post in the tomato forum a little before spring so we can see how everyone did, I've got them nice ribbons to send out and none of them get to stay with me.lol Thursday, January 21 View Page Here's the sad moment I pulled my plant. Only 3 1/2 days and my cucumbers are up right where the tomato plant was. Amazing! I planted a mini veggie garden in the giant bin . I thought the peas would be the first ones up.
