The old PVC pipe with plastic and binder clips works great for my yearly hoop houses. My little space heaters have been working overtime with nighttime lows in the 20s this past week
My 2026 from last year is on the left and
THE 2731 Stelts on the right side.

The 2731 Stelts is finally growing. It took a couple days longer than I'm used to but the weather has been rough for my plants so far so I'm happy to have anything at this point

My 2026 Adkins is a few days behind the Stelts in pollination. It had a main vine crack about 8 feet so I let it grow farther out before setting the pumpkin.

THE 2731 Stelts. DAP 30. She is still behind but catching up. My halfway point is almost always day 42-44 in the patch so I'll have a really good idea what she'll do in 2 weeks from now.

My 2026 Adkins. She's a block shape and out pacing the 2731 for now. I'm guessing it will be hard for her to keep up with the Stelts but too early to tell DAP 20

My 2026 Adkins has issues with the main vine where it cracked and formed a massive knot. I should have cut and went with the secondary for sure. Hopefully she can keep gaining some

THE 2731 Stelts is doing better than expected considering the slow start. SVBs got in the Maine past the pumpkin. I'm hoping I got to them in time. She's measuring a weight of 925 pounds at day 40

The main vine crack and knot that formed on my 2026 Adkins and split then started to have some rot.

I ripped out half the plant since the pumpkin is such a slow grow. Hopefully it makes the display this year
