I noticed an option called "pumpkin tracker" in the Select Destination drop down box. It sounds like a good idea..is this something that will up for this season?

Well, part of it will be. I am going to put it up in sections. At the heart of the system is a database of pumpkins, growers and other information. The first section will display the genetic backgrounds of the seeds distributed here on the site. The second section will be the data entry pages for pumpkin measurements. I have been working on this stuff a little at a time for quite some time. I can't say exactly when it will be done but hopefully we will be releasing some parts soon. The Chat sub-system will likely be the next addition to this site.

Gimmee, gimmee, gimmee....I'm always asking for something. I knew you were working on the seed family tree thing but I didn't connect that with the pumpkins tracker. Sounds like it's going to be a very cool addition. You guys have us spoiled.....I'm starting to feel guilty about getting all this stuff for free.

Guilt is good but cash is better!! :-)

This stuff does take time and money. We plan on remaining a free site, but we will have to run some banners to help pay for this stuff. For example, I just ordered a new server for the site yesterday ($3500) and renewed our domain name ($70). We hope to have the new server up and running in a few weeks. We are slowly building a bigger, better and faster BigPumpkins.com.
