maybe there should be a chat room that you can't enter unless your fully registered..name ,address, age ,gender, pumpkin growing accomplishments,residense,etc..then a person will know who they are talking to..maybe its a dumb idea..

Hi guy,
This may be rude ,but I really don't care to see every one get up thigh about a few low lifers, con- men ,slingers ,punks and people that just don't give 2 hoots about who we are and what we do , other than get just about everyone wound up and ticked off. And that hurts people like me ,that has been only growing for a few years and would like help with things. But if this keeps up , the guys with the knowledge and experience will not be in the chat rooms ,or if they are they will only talk to the guys or girls they really know . So what do we do about this ? Do we need a pitcher I. D. next to our name in the chat room ,that is confirmed with Ken & John and submit the proof to them as a part of registration.Or, Do we need a ratting number next to our name and when you get 3 strikes ,your out!! Or , now this is the rude part ,we can go with a over 500 lb. chat room ,I know some people will get mad about this . Unless we can find a way to keep the riff-raft out or at least keep them quiet and not being rude and not having any respect for the other growers.The bottom line is this. If this is not fixed ,we can kiss the good chat rooms good by ,that are filled with very nice people that have and will spread the knowledge to help everyone out. Ken & john should not have to be babysitters for thing like this on this site and if it keeps up , they might just say, "The heck with it ,it's starting to be a waste of time ! " and trow in the towel . I do not want this to happen !!!

None taken. I'm just trying to throw out ideas to get the ball rolling to make this stop and as quick as possible .I know the 500 deal is bad ,but if it was the last straw ,i would take one for the team and sit back and watch what was being talked about in the chat and learn that way. But this would have to be a last resort kind of deal .I am not trying to say everyone under 500lbs. don't know and should not have the privilege to talk in the chat rooms.. hoppy

I really don't care for your idea of having over a 500 lb. chatroom there hoppy. It strikes me as a form of elitism. And I don't know about you but I think that a good part of this website should be about sharing. No offense...

I can't even get into bp.coms chat room and I grew a pumpkin way over 600#! sTILL THOSE IN THERE i SEE YOUR POSTS ON THE MESSAGE BOARD AND THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS SITE IS OR SHOULD BE ABOUT. lETS TRY TO RECOGNIZE EACH OTHERS INDIVIDUALITIES AND GROW BIG PUMPKINS.... Gads I agree with ya. Have a Great Christmas all of us , and try to have only kinds words here. There is too many bad things going on in this world today. To be able to come here and see only kind words would be a little break from the cruel outside world. Merry Christmas all!!!

Hey GADS, Check to see if you have "Pop-up Stopper" or similar software installed on your computer. I do. It stops me from opening any second window, including those I actually initiate. As long as I remember to shut it off, I can get in with both Netscape 4.5 & 7.0. It's worth a look.

I will review all the logs we have. I have several reports of personal attacks in the chat rooms. If you don't have anything nice to say just don't say anything. This website is not for attacking each other.

Well put Ken , This is a wonderful site , for learning and sharing info. And i don't want to see it go down the drain and lose the grower with more experience and there input to these problems.We all sound like a bunch of crows ,,LOL .
