We are already "discuss" :) politics on different parts of the website, mainly "Other Non-Pumpkin Related." Why not have a section designated for it?

Because politics really have no place on BP. There are dozens (probably hundreds) of political message boards all over the net. More power to those who like arguing all the time but it's not for me. I don't venture to Non- Pumpkin related very often for that very reason. I lean to the right (heavily) but that's neither here nor there.

Heck every once in a while me and Steve and some of the right winged faction of the pumpkin growing world get in some really hot political debates. I may disagree with there conservative views but respect them for having opinions and a convictions no matter if it differs with mine.. I think most not all growers that take pumpkin growing to the next level are competitive people with there differing viewpoints. My hat is off to all that are brave enough to stand up for what they believe even if they are wrong 90% of the time(Steve) lol....mark

Good words Mark..That is the point isn't it? We can stand our ground & still be friends.
It's too cold for pumpkins, football is a blood bath, basketball is boring....at least we all know one another here. Some of the political forums have gotten real creepy. Pumpkin growers are decent people with good values. Here we can enjoy a spirited debate & shake hands. Heck, we'll even tip a few at Niagara.
Dill vs. Gancarz Pats vs. Chargers Lifting Ring vs. Tarps Left vs. Right Organic vs. Synthetic Yankees vs. Red Sox Green vs. Orange
It's all political...& pretty entertaining for the casual observers I would imagine. LOL

If we have a politics board, then we need a sports board, then we need a jokes board, then we need ....
This is a pumpkin website, and everything unrelated can be in the Non-Pumpkin Related board.

If all those boards are going to be added can we at least add a beer board to go with it.
