So, my 1935 is growing in a way that the blossom end may eventually be covered over by the top of the pumpkin. It was correctly positioned, that's just the way it's grown. Has anyone ever had one that the blossom end was completely covered and became part of the bottom of the pumpkin.

Yes, that has happened to me, unfortunately twice and the last 2 years. So here are a couple of pics. What you want to do is if the blossom end is going to touch the ground cut it with a VERY sharp FREASH razor blade. Preferable with rounded edges. If it is not going to touch, keep an eye on it and you can remove some sand where it might. What I did to make sure there weren't any cracks, was that for the days when I could fit my phone in the crack, I would turn on the camera with the flash light and record how it looks under there. It happens a lot. I think the odds of getting to the end of the season are pretty much the same as any other pumpkin.

Yep my 810 Cantrell did that, the blossom is almost completely gone. Stem and blossom were pretty much parallel at 20 dap, and at 40 dap they're at about a 35 degree angle. I think the bottom is just not growing as fast as the top, combined with forces causing it to lean back.

Thanks to all. I won't bother posting a photo. The photo pumpkinpal2 posted of the Mendi 2356 is pretty much identical to what mine looks like now. The "big" difference is that mines about a 90% smaller. Mine's only 24 DAP. By the time it gets to 51 DAP like the 2356 it will have likely rolled one complete revolution and the blossom will be on top. LOL
