No Brandon, there was no root knot in the pumpkin. only grew with the plant after the pumpkin. I think it is very interesting, for all of us who thought, that the pumpkin feeds only with the plant behind. I'm happy to try this test, I lost a very good pumpkin, but at least I got seeds, and know what happens to the plant after the pumpkin. It is an objective test.

imagine it can do 600-700 square feet well rooted, fertilized and watered, after pumpkin.

This is very interesting to me! So are we saying that the vine works in both directions when there are node roots?

Yes the vine flows both ways. I have seen many times with bags of water tied to the vines a day before a weigh off. They will suck water out of both on each side of the pumpkin, although they pull more out of the bag on the main before the fruit.

Remember cutting vine off leaving 2 side vines on stump side when pumpkin was size of basketball it grew out to 638 kilograms
