Steve,

You noted that the plant required a lot less water than the full size plants.

Can you give an idea of how many inches of natural precipitation the plant got last summer?

I imagine it would be proportional to the size. 150/1000. ofc you probably want to water the area around the plant, since roots don't keep to 150sf

We had an extremely dry summer in the New England area last summer. Maybe 2-3 storms with 1 inch of rain. So the plants were very dependent on my watering as the grower. Finally in September a couple significant rain storms totaling 5 inches each drenched our garden.
