One of my pumpkins is a little asymmetrical. Not really sure how to describe it except to say looking down on it one side is not quite the same shape as the other. What's the prognosis for an asymmetrical pumpkin? Will it grow out of that or will it always be a little off?

If its more asymmetrical than Tom Cruise's jaw, then your season is over. Just poking fun :) Not much you can do about it now... unless you are going to cull it. Pics?

I'll put some pics in my diary tomorrow. I do have another one on the same plant pollinated so I can still cull "Cruise" if I need to.

Even ugly pumpkins can be darn heavy!

The Majority of pumpkins are a little to a lot lobsided. They can even out or get worse. You have to grow it out to know.

I posted some photos this a.m. - probably wont be there until tomorrow or so. Anyway, after a single day of growth the pumpkin is less asymmetrical. I think I worry to much. I posted photos of the three keepers I'm growing right now and one plant started late, aborted the first attempt and waiting on another opportunity. Great Plant - no pumpkin :)

The fruit can often be a little asymmetrical before dap 10 like you describe before the growth kicks into full gear.

Get them onto bigger plywood before they hit 300 lbs. Or put down enough sand that they dont get damaged by edge of the plywood when they grow across it... looks like you're doing well...

Garwolf, if you splurged the $15 and became premium member than your pics would upload automatically. As much as you post, that would work out to about 5 cents a post. Open up the pocket book.....

Orange U. - I lived in Columbus for a while, and spent a lot of time hunting and bird dog training in the Thomasville area.
I didn't know about the benefits of premium membership. I'll register a "Go Fund Me" site and see what I can do. :) Feel free to donate :)
