I have 3 plants in similar states of growth. One is throwing out better than normal secondary vines, one a little behind and one lagging. They all have been treated about the same. What is everyone's GO TO for trying to kick the secondary's into gear. * Note: I plan to give them full sun tomorrow, maybe that is what the problem is?

Depending on my soil test, calcium nitrate at 2 TBS per plant sprinkled around just outside the plant has always worked great for me.
The stuff works fast and those plants get moving quick!

Ned I think your plants look really good. I think that they will fill out really nicely once they are out of the protective covering.

Miracle grow, lol? I think its just an issue of sink/source once the nutrients/conditions allow the plant some extra vigor... it will oblige u. I think some plants allocate resources different than others. Some are more apical dominant which temporarily suppresses the side shoots, some seem to put more of their initial energy into their roots than others, which could put them a little slower in the vine department.

Phosphorus and nitrogen and micronutrients. I think nitrate would put the plant in a vegetative growth mode more than ammonium... take it with a grain of sodium chloride.

Hey Ned, hope you and family are well! There was a recent post and several growers agree a smidgen on calcium nitrate and some warmer soil will kick things up a notch. I’ll be watching your diary.
