So far my AG is giving 3 lobe's - to my disappointment. Foliage looks great thou... I was hoping for at least a 4 lobe.

Count the sepals the little green pokers below the petals. More sepals = more pumpkin according to my dissections of flowers.

I think the then-World Record 1140 Stelts was a 3-lober;
They're pretty neat, IMHO - embrace your lobe count, lol---eg

My best pumpkin off of the 2304 Geddes is a 3 lobe.

What shape should I expect from a 3 lobe pumpkin?

3/4/5 it doesnt matter for final weight.3's might be a longer shape than 4's or 5's from that same plant.IMHO

I kind of like the three lobers. Sometimes they make a super long, low pumpkin.

Clearly symmetry plays a major role with blossom end split. I wonder if say a longer, flatter 3 lobe is less prone to split than a tall, skyscraper 5 lobe?

Seems like clonex and lobes are the "hot" button topics this year.

Smallmouth I hear you. I think I am taking a risk growing a six lober. It seems like more could go wrong with the cartwheel shape than a bullet shape. But I think you guys should be paying attention to sepals too. I think they correspond to the wall of the fruit
