Picture of me standing next to some Olotillo Blanco maize. I'm concerned that I may not produce any ears from these plants by frost. I'm also seeing the same growth in my garden in NY as well. If you look closely in front of the maize, you'll see a tall green plant, as well as one above the sunflower head to the right of the maize. That is a new amaranth I'm trying. These amaranth got a late start, so they may get much taller. They show no signs of flowering. Next year I plan on starting them early to see how tall I can get them.
