I am new to growing AG's and have noticed various references to the cotyledons. Such as burying up to them. Can someone tell me what exactly a cotyledon is? Thanks

hey sambo...the cotyledons are the seed leaves...the first that come out of the shell...the first two...anything after that are "True" leaves...the "Cotes" are rounded...you'll see as soon as the seed pops out of the shell the next leaf after these two will be more irregular along the edges. so burying to the cotes means up to these bottom two leaves. Good Luck and Grow em Big! Chuck
