Do they seem to take longer to germinate than most seeds? Or is it just me. I know I have the setup right because the other 3 seeds I started germinated the next day. It has been 3-4 days do I still have time. I am getting worried. Good thing I have plan B and C.

Nick,
Are you germinating them in a pot, or in a wet paper towel?
I germinate mine in a wet paper towel. One of my seeds was slow to germinate. It split across the rounded edge(the cotyledons started opening, but no root was emerging). I carefully pulled off the seed coat, and put it back in the wet paper towel(inside a plastic baggy). The next day the root started forming. It was about three times thicker than a usual root...though I don't know if it's a club root. After the root grew a little more, I put it in a pot, with potting soil. It's early to tell, but it seems to be growing some now. I should add that I only buried about halfway up the cotyledons when I potted it.

They took a little longer for me..They also both had a big ass club root. This might of caused the slow start.Dave told me his 1537 was off a club...

Well, The seed did not make it. I stated to smell a weird smell and found out it rotted. All other 6 seeds I started germinated. :(

Nic, I tried (2) 904's and neither one of them germinated. I used both methods and neither one worked. That makes me 0-3 on 904's (sorry Dave,John & Eddy). Started the 1421 Stelts '09 and it came up nicely.

Oh I thought it was just me. Why do they have to be duds? LOL

Nic, if you get another 904, Dr. Bob is really good about getting older seeds to germ. He might be willing to help you out with germinating it.

I know I should have done that in the first place now that I think about it.
