I germinated my seeds by soaking and paper towel. I then planted them in their pots. It has been 4 days now with not much of anything showing. Temp in germination chamber has been between 83 and 87. I checked soil temp and it was at 70. Putting heat under chamber now. How concerned should I be with losing my seeds to rot at this point? And also your thoughts on how long it will be until they decide to pop out of the soil.

How deep did you plant the seeds? This could impact the time it takes for them to break the surface.

Soil temp. not chamber temp. is where its at. Sounds like you don't have your pots on heating mats. You might want to turn up temp. in chamber until soil warms up more.

About half of my seedlings are sprouted now and starting to show first true leaf. I'm sorry to say that the other half aren't go to make it. They just stalled in the cold mix and got rot. Valuable lesson learned. Lost a 1350.5 Starr and a 1528 Starr.

I'm sorry to hear that - those were good seeds.

My seed starting box got up to 100° last night so I'm worried about losing mine. The backups will be started in the next day or two if there are no signs of life.
