I've thrown in some 100 foot cables before, I will say they do heat a much larger area, but im not sure they do too much extra either. Plant doesnt really extend past the area by the time temps stay warm enough

Yeah I'm sure the 100' gutter cables are better but I'm not sure how worth it they are for me. The river valley I live in warms up pretty quickly in spring so these should be fine.
