Good luck Chop ! There are a few big time proven growers who have said they are gonna give the 839 a run this year. You and your buddy Todd Kogut took the lid off of the 839 when he grew his 1952. Since then there is the 1765 Young, 1803 Hazletine, 1917 Wolf, 2025 Haist, 2085 Toboyek, 2196 Zappa and 2273 Momirov. I am probably missing a few others and I know there is one growing in Poland this year. I expect some big pumpkins to add to that list. Some of those were Howard Dill winners too.
