He is trying to treat the claw marks but the bears have been back three times! So far, they have not gotten into the cavity but at the rate they are stopping by, it could be over at any time.

Sorry to see that. Gary is a great grower and puts a lot of time in. He grows a huge garden also at his church and give most of it away.

Years ago growers would bring there pumpkins to the zoo after the weigh off's were done. Now the zoo is coming to us. How great!

Can't tell from the picture how big the bear is, but the pumpkin sure looks big. What a disappointment, this can be a cruel hobby! All that work for no results. Gary is a great grower- he'll be back!

So Sorry Gary. Electric fence should work. See if they like a drink of 10,000 Volts. I see 2 Black Bears in this picture.
