It's funny how it works. The fruit will start out slower than your use to,,,, then about day 15 to 20 take off and blow past any growth curve you ever had!

Russ, I think I’m right in saying that we should expect the fruit to start expanding later than normal so growers shouldn’t be disappointed with initial slow growth? From our research, at the moment we’re guessing that a pumpkin possibly goes through cell division and cell expansion for around 8 days followed by cell expansion for a further 20 days.
