Is it elemental sulphur in bentonite clay? If so you should leave on top of soil to help it expand and break down and become more readily available. I know that seems counterproductive considering it can take up to 3 years, but it helps.

Once it breaks down to the sulphate form (SO4-2) it can easily move throughout the soil.

I apply elemental sulfur, it definitely takes time to lower it. Since I’m lower the water ph as well it’s helping to some.
