This must be a friend of KC Kevin from Mission Viejo!??? That railroad weigh off is my favorite time of year! We started with 6 or 7 pumpkins a few years back when we started the weigh off at this location and had over 30 plus pumpkins this year!

Welcome to the SoCal growing club! I recently attended my 1st GPC weighoff, the same one you went to. Was such a fun event. We may have stood next to each other. I don't have the space to grow an AG, but will strive bring a tomato, sunflower and long gourd.

Our clay is a bugger...I grew in that stuff for 4-5 years before excavating down 3 feet and taking it all out!

Thanks everybody! We are very much looking forward to meeting you all and learning a thing or three. Our kids are pretty young (2.5 and 5 months) so a trip up north might be out of the cards, but it won’t stop me from attempting to convince the wife!
