We are having some 95° days here in North Dakota. It's time to get pollinated. Does anybody think that the heat will affect my pollination.

A great thread on high heat pollination was on the main page back in July. Here is the link:

Timmer - I recently pollinated an 839 Sandercock that was NOT in the sun all day butt I placed a piece of that bubble-wrap, shiny material they use for wrapping heating and cooling pipes in new building construction that was already curled pretty well, over the pollinated flower with a plastic cup on it (it was not windy) and that flower was as if just-pollinated like two days later with no deterioration to it. That piece of material is now gonna be the initial material the fruit will land on once it gets to be a pound or two, so, in a pinch, this may help anyone, really. Coolers and frozen water bottles are probably in that link from OUG also - It is all good! later---eric g
