What are your experiences with seed viability from tomatoes picked green and hard. I picked a couple quite early to take to the weigh offs and wonder if it is even worth trying to save the seeds from them. When do the seeds mature enough to save?

I think as long as you can get the tomato to turn at least half way the seeds should be ok, but I'm not sure about anything without some color in it ?

Let your tomatoes ripen and you should be fine for harvesting seeds.

I've picked green and had viable seeds. Let the tomato however ripen off the vine until it's well coloured and properly ripe.

Thanks everyone. I guess we will see what happens after they turn red on the kitchen counter.
