We're dragging our feet on this because a couple more entries.
This is the closest challenge yet! .05 lbs. 1st to 2nd. Is anybody keeping track? Several teams that could be the winner.
Chop and me know haha. Send us your best seeds and we'll let you in on it.

I got a big one coming too. It should be ready by Christmas. Can you extend it till then?
Having extensions like this really isn't fair to all the other growers Zeke. The contest should have ended Oct 31st. I know it's for fun, but why should someone get extra time to get a PB, just because he live in a warmer climate & can extend their season?

I agree with Phil. Why make rules if you are going to make exceptions to them?

Why are we having this discussion now. We all would have harvested earlier if that’s what the group stated. There was never an official end date for this contest. A properly set end date is done at the beginning of the grow not at any point after when tomatoes are on the vine and hard work is potentially impacted. Perhaps there was an end date set at the beginning and I missed it? I believe that fussing about this now you are tarnishing Kevins moment and all the hard work that he put into it. With all that said if you’d like to remove our team from the contest I won’t complain one bit but I am only 1/3 of the team.

I’m no rule maker on the competition but I’m good with flexibility on dates; if someone’s climate allows, we don’t prevent them from posting an early entry? Should it be different if it’s late?
We’re not tied to GPC listings here, so at the end of the day, my view is it’s a grower’s best 2 weights for the season. I’m not really hung up on the date being ‘a thing’.
My 2 pence.

Sorry Phil. Ya we should probably have a hard cut off date. The only later tomato that made a difference in the contest was SaladDougs and he was weighed in way before the 31st of October. The only reason we extended the other guys was because they had a chance for a new PB and we knew it wasn't going to affect the final standings. The only team that lost a spot in the competition because of this was the Canuckle Heads (my team). Always bugs to work out when you run a contest like this and you try and keep everyone happy.
Again, Sorry Zeke
