Once the book is finished the readers will be able to make suggestions to me for changes and new things to add. Since the book will be online, I will be able to update and add things whenever it seems necessary. I like the idea of being able to change things as tomato growing progresses and to add new items which might come up. I can work on this book until I no longer can. lol Who knows, I might even be able to pass it on to someone else.

Thank you Marv....giant tomato growing would not be the same without your efforts. I am only going to be growing a few plants this year. i think I will not have much to contribute. What I come up with is yours. I still can't believe the amount of effort you are giving to come up with this. You are definitely the unsung heroe of the giant tomato world.

Thanks Bnot. For the last year I have tried to avoid being controversial. Even my wife has noticed how docile and compliant I have become. I think even Porkchop has noticed it.

I am happy to help with photos. I have many of my plants that have yielded massive fruits, before the squirrels figured out a way to eat through my netting and tomato the day before competition. 3 years in a row, so no tomato pics, but plenty of plant pics.

I still have no idea when it will be available. Don is spending hours on getting the pictures in. I would like to have a forum type thing where people can criticize what I have written so that if they are right I can change some things in the book to reflect what is the best way to go. An online book is easy to change, add on new topics, change pictures, update the book. When I am beyond working on the book I can even pass it on to the next person so as to keep the book up to date.

Maybe within a month. Don is getting set to put it on a web site. We had to hire someone to do this. Not so cheap. I now appreciate what it costs Ken to keep this site up and running.

Hey marv im not sure if you already covered it but did you discuss cold frames hoop houses or greenhouses ? i sent Don some pictures of my cold frame on my deck and he said that he loved it. Also did you discuss the different kind of pruning meathods like Dan MacCoy short first truss pruning meathod and the taller nipple high porkchop meathod ? Just putting ideas out there for you, you said this was an open book that can still grow with new ideas.

High tunnels were discussed but mostly for early starts and protection from heat. Nothing about growing in green houses, hydroponic growing or winter inhouse growing.
