This test measures the nutrients that are immediately available to plants in the soil's water solution. To know as much as possible about what is going on in our gardens we would need a standard soil test, a saturated paste test and a plant tissue test. To get all of these will cost more than $50 and probably less than $100. Some of us have done the plant tissue tests. Most of us have done soil tests. Anyone have experience with the Saturated Paste Test and if so how did it correlate with the other tests you are doing?

Western Labs does a soil solution test, showing what is plant available vs just what is in the soil. It lined up well with a later tissue sample.
