I have seen pictures of the plants. They are definitely looking healthy. Great job in getting the sets Jim. The first two obstacles of winter growing you have overcome. Next up...avoiding BER. Indoors, I start spraying the blossom with calcium chloride from the time it sets until it gets to about 14 inches. This year, I not only sprayed the blossom, but I added some calcium chloride into the hydro solution. I don't know if that helped with BER but I have shown signs of chloride deficiency before.

Wixom, I would be thinking about upping the nutrient strength, putting up side lights, and whatever else I could think of if Jim had set a few weeks earlier. There are 24 days left before the winter grow deadline. My hydro tomato now is at about 24 DAP. It is at about 16 inches CC but has slowed to about 1/4 inch per day in growth. I think I will predict Jim will be ahead of my 24 DAP of 16 inches CC by the first day of spring. I think next year, I might have to really improve.

Thanks guys I have two plants going so I'll probably weigh one at the last day of winter and keep the other going. I'm really looking forward to starting pumpkin seeds in the soil mix that I've concocted.
