Just thought it might be worth a mention... Rick posted pics of 8.5 lb on a truss. Wow. My best truss this year was 6.5 lb. I think its fun to see the potential. Although these examples happened accidentally... what else can you do with a plant that wont throw the right blossom? Maybe pounds per truss is a useful as a way to test our growing skill, even when not getting the perfect fused blossom? Like going to the driving range rather than the actual golf course there are some differences but in some ways its the same game. Truss weights are probably 20-30 percent higher than single tomato weights.

The growth period of a truss can be spread out more. So a truss should have greater opportunity to gain more weight vs one fused tomato.

I think its an ingesting option if you were growing f2 /f3 generations of tomatoes en mass, as a potential selection mechanic to assess potential without having to think re: megablooms
