Congrats Porkchop, Looks like Dan S is really number two now. I wonder if he knows...does anyone still email him? The youtube video was a great idea. Loved watching it before reading the result. I wonder...how many hits does this video need before youtube gives you some cash reimbursement for posting this great moment. You deserve all the applause you can get. And you left the 10 pound mark open for next year. Wonderful grow year...I have to work harder to try to catch up.

When you said it looked like a 6 pounder connected to a 3.5 pounder with a bit extra...you were spot on. The winner of the guess the weight contest should go to you. I am still letting this all sink in...i wonder...last night sleep could have been difficult...tonight might worse. You might be busy for awhile...news coverage, and all the etc that goes with WR.

Porker looked at your diary every post and see a problem. The rules in the fine print mind you. Only two panty hose can be used for support. You had that thing wrapped up like a mummy so Wilson will need to be DQ for rule violation. I will need too confiscate seeds, plant and dirt grown in. Do not try to clone it that's a NO NO. Just had to post this lmao.

9/22/2019 12:12:30 AM

Porkchop

Ugggh!!!...I never read the fine print!!..never good when one of your mentors dq’s you....that’s the second time!!...do I have to send the dump trucks to Indiana again??....

I think that the number of supports used in supporting a tomato is irrelevant. How can you expect to grow a huge tomato without proper support to keep the tomato from being ripped off the plant. How do we know how many supports Dan S. used unless the GPC visited his patch? There were no photos of Dan S.'s tomato on the plant.

I think dq still sounds possible...i wonder if he has a soil test available that shows that he didnt use any prohibited substances in the dirt.

Who needs a dump truck, if you have the numbers :)

9/22/2019 11:56:43 AM

Where is the list of banned substances in the dirt? I looked in a few spots on the GPC site under resources and couldn't find any list.

porkchop...just for reference...your comment on the video about being for bp.com does not send people here. Someone is going to think you are supported by a petroleum company. Looking at the hits on Dan MacCoys video after 5 years, and the hits on video interview with Gordan Graham in 2014, I don't know if you would want to send 10,000 people to this site?

9/22/2019 6:27:53 PM

yep porkchop, they do....marv just posted the video of gordon graham...15,000 hits...Dan MacCoys 8,600 hits. Yours is already over 1100 after only two days. When I do a search on youtube of world record tomato. Your video comes up at number 3 right now. After 2 days...amazing...

What will we talk about during the cold winter months.

9/22/2019 7:18:38 PM

spudder

Maybe we will be discussing about how many people are going to fall off a roof and then lie in a hammock in order to chase ,his record. Kind of a dangerous growing technique! I think I will find an easier method to grow a world record.
