Just posted photos of the largest mega blooms I've seen by a local grower at the Alaska State fair. He'll have seeds available from another branch on the same plant Later. I don't have the time/space to breed this into the any good stock, but I can make the seeds available to anyone interested. Get in touch if interested

Whoa! This thing is quite unusual. What is the variety name?

Looks like a fun challenge to grow. Weighing it could also be a challenge because some fruit could be ripe and others could still be developing and getting it to fit on a scale.

I have to agree with Wile.
That could be a nightmare to fully pollinate.

The way I would pollinate them is to find a male flower in my AG patch with several bees in it. I could cut the flower and bring it over the mega mega bloom plant. I would dump the bees out the flower onto the mega mega plant and hopefully the bees will be kept busy for a while or send reinforcements when their pollen baskets are full.

I am tempted to see what it would do in a winter grow. I think I will have room for 6 plants in 15 gallon pots in the garage utility room in soil under led. 4 of these plants will be for winter crossing. I should have 3 plants in hydro in the laundry room. Total of 9 plants...4 spots are taken. What do you think guys...should I try to sweet talk Davie(he knows more about indoor lighting than the rest of us combined) out of a seed to try this winter?

Bnot, sounds like you've already started the sweet talking

Davie,I havent started yet. I have read a little on the two studies that you sent me on CO2 fixation with green spectrum light. Unfortunately, my led lights are missing green spectrum. Do you have a chance to grow this winter?

Unfortunately all my indoor space will be tied up this winter with R&D and over-wintering existing plants for next year. Hoping I'll have room next winter.
I'll let everyone know when I've got seeds in hand to send out, for those who contacted me. Good growing all

Thanks Dave for the nice email. Hopefully, i won't take too much of your time this winter asking you about this or that. I am glad you that you have taken your time to participate here. I think it is a benefit for all the growers....How is that for sweet talking...I think it is true though.
