Well it has been a rough week in the garden. Rain last week seems to have slowed everything down. The watermelons are toast. And I have now lost 3 of my tomatoes.

The first to go down was a young 4.67 plant that rotted at 3.2 pounds it was one I was hoping to have for weigh offs. Then one that was flashing split on a cold night, 4.22 pounds. Today I was walking through the garden and noticed liquid on a leaf under the fruit on the 5.68 plant. Sure enough a smell section was rotting 5.17 pounds and weeks of growth left it it.

I asked a well known grower if there was anything I could do to prevent this from happening again and he replied “ Yeah, don’t let others know when you have a monster going”. Well played Porkchop, well played.

They really have to be kept dry. Unless the sun is out and the water will evaporate in ten minutes. Low humidity out here on the west coast... If its humid where you are use a fan maybe . Sorry bud and yes chops is sm art .

Sorry Framac. Total bummer for you to discover this. It can happen to anybody, anywhere, anytime.
