Over all it looks like weights are lower this year !!! It looks like the heavy spring rains and then 90° temperatures at pollination time has made it a rough year for alot of people this year !!! It looks like the place to be this year was Oregon and Washington where Rick spaziani cindy tobek and scott houlb seemed to have a great year. Its still early to grow a big one so how is everyone else doing ?

My garden sucks. Weather has had a lot to do with it. Our climate in PA is definitely changing. Summer comes later than usual and then it is extremely hot. Hoping for better weather next year but what we have now is what we have had the last few years. Way too much rain in the spring.

Our weather hasn’t really been that bad.
It got really hot for about three weeks mid July.
Had massive blossom drop problems
Even with shade cloth I had 2 sets turn early.
28 and 35 days.
I wasn’t setting the world on fire with either one of them,
But they both could have been new PBs for me.
Weather is ice now but my plants are pushing 6 months old at this point.
They’ve about had it for the year.

It has been a difficult year for me...not because of weather but new soil and time constraints. I am just happy to have done as well as I have. Hopefully next year will be pushing my limits again.

Dan S not coming to the party will be a statistical problem... unless there's a new Dan S...

Dan is definitely out there. He seems to be able to grow big no matter what the weather conditions are. For the last several years the only competition he has had is himself. If his record is broken he will most likely be the one to do it.

My weights have been lower this year.
Not sure I can attribute it to the weather.
Hold on, that’s a great excuse, it couldn’t have anything to do with me!

It's still early. I'm sure there will be a few monster maters listed by season's end. With any luck, we will grow one of them. Our season is starting out well. Hopefully we'll get one over 6# before season's end.
Good luck all.
