What is the present target level for Boron on soil tests?
I hear in the UK they are using higher levels than we are here? Over 4 pounds per acre was said to be toxic. I know some growers are going low like 1 pound per acre while others are saying 3 pounds per acre.

.5 to 2 ppm? Which translates to 1-4 lbs per acre... if it’s applied to the root zone. From what I just read about it... If it’s applied too deep or too shallow, or if the ph is off, or if the calcium and potassium are too high, these could limit the availability.

I have been reading that boron levels can be up to but should not exceed 6 pounds per acre. Boron is water soluble and most gardens have low levels of boron. Also that boron is not really toxic to plants until levels exceed 10 pounds per acre. Boron has a lot to do with the movement of calcium inside plants. Anyone agree or disagree?
