We had a good showing of large tomatoes today. Here are the results:

1st Larry Hill 7.66
Exh Larry Hill 6.48
Exh Larry Hill 6.13
2nd Robert Borgers 5.60
3rd Chris Qualley 5.31
4th Kevin Walsh 3.49
5th Greg Peine 2.36
6th Bill Foss 1.82
7th Tom McDowel 1.72

Larry really showed us how to grow late season maters. Amazing to bring in a seven pounder and 2 over 6 pounds for an October weighoff. He is now one of the top growers in the nation...and he grows in the frozen minnesota north. He has the record for the second biggest ever grown in Minnesota..next year he might have the biggest. Congrats Larry...I know you worked hard for this. I am very impressed with your results.

It was rather chilly there, wasn't it Bill. Anoka was about the same. High chance of rain with 40 degree temps for Stillwater next weekend. I wish weighoffs could be held in August. I just looked...Larry has the largest now for this year, to be weighed at an actual weighoff. His tomato is the 2nd largest ever to be weighed at an actual weighoff...Porkchops 8.22 is the only one ahead of him. With a quick look at the top ever weights, it looks to me that Larry now holds 9th place all time heaviest tomato. Awesome timing to get 3 big ones ready for an October weighoff. This was surely a grand slam.
