It is almost the big day. Good luck to fellow competitors. Entry for tomatoes will be from 8 am until 10 am at Gale Woods Farm, 7210 County Rd 110W, Minnetrista, MN.

Still time to make a guess if you haven't made a guess the winning weight prediction yet. I think the prize is good.

The last 2 weeks of September and the first week of October have been terrible for growing here in Minnesota. If you have a sound tomato..bring it in..you might win a prize even with a lower weight. See you tomorrow.

Frostbite won. (He had 3 tomatoes bigger than Bnot). Bnot finished 2nd. I finished fifth with a weight of 2.13 on a 5.63 Karkos seed. Bill Foss finished 6th. Qtip was 3rd or 4th.

Greg, I think you have your weight wrong...I have written down 2.36 on your bigger one. September and the first week of October have been really difficult growing weather here in Minnesota. Still 5 tomatoes over 5 pounds at the same weighoff might be a record. This winter, will be working hard to make a first Saturday in September tomato only weighoff happen. Should be easier..if we don't have to contend with 3 weeks of 40 degree night temps. Thanks to everyone that made this year happen. Hope to have your support for next year.

Bob, I was running on about 2 hours of sleep at the weighoff. I am happy to remember who won and who finished where.

Could you bring that food truck to the all tomato weighoff next September? I liked the brisket sandwich.

Is there going to be a prettiest tomato award next year? I had never heard of it until one of the judges made a comment about that for my 2nd tomato I brought.
