A brown spot that was caused by touching the support steak. It appears to be sound. Do you aggree?

Wixom, do you think I can do the soak to get the weight back, or am I better to just go with the slightly lower weight, but not risk softening the Brown spot?

Looks sound to me and i find that soaking it does not cause any dammage to spread. Last year i had one with much more damage from cracks and the dammage did not spread while in the fridge and rehydrated with no problems.

It certainly looks like a sound tomato to me. It looks scabbed over dry. I dont think I would worry about any problems with soaking..looks to me like that spot has gone thru many rain showers.

Did it make it? I am wondering if this was the 4.67 weighed yesterday in Vermont.

I did soak it, got back .17 pounds, lost .03 before weighoff.
Picked monday, 4.71, presoak 4.53, post 8 hour soak, 4.70, final weight 4.67.

I should have put it back in the fridge after the soak.
I was super happy with a single blossom tomato.

I am just curious what was under all those seeds. I pulled mine that was going to seed but was rather disapointed barely broke my pb. I am sure next January or Febuary will be trying the other orange vegetable again.
