Oxiclean method prolly the easiest...although I swear I don’t get as many keeper seeds w that method...old fashion fermenting way is the funnest..kinda stinky at first but a lot like panning for gold ...

So rinsing and drying in a strainer isn’t gonna cut it?

I use the Oxiclean method. Google "using Oxiclean to get tomato seeds". It works for me. Make sure to use a metal colander small enough where the seeds don't fall through. Use a rubber spatula to rinse and press out the meat. I spread the seeds over a plate in a single layer to dry for a couple of weeks. Fermenting is a good way but when you have a lot of tomatoes being harvested at once it can get messy and sticky.

I've used the methods in the link: https://www.gardenorganic.org.uk/sites/www.gardenorganic.org.uk/files/No12%20Tomatoes.pdf
in know that you've recently harvested your tomato - I'd also wait until it's fully ripe before harvesting to get the best seeds

last year I put up a tutorial on how I save seeds:
http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=282868
The post is a few entries long, but it basically describes the oxiclean method.
Using this method, I run about 90% germination rate.

Thanks everyone. I'm gonna give the Oxiclean method a shot.

So I tried the Oxyclean method and it was fairly easy and straight forward. Now just need to make sure they will germinate.
