I know they have better things to do like drive 7 hours to look at a 9 lb tomato. My first ever giant (use that term loosely) is around 37-38 days and 16.75". It'll be turning soon, and I'm wondering if I should even mess with the official form for what probably won't be much over 2#. Just curious.

You don’t have to for the “team contest”...just pics on a certified scale ..but you should get yourself familiar with the process of “early entry”...

If it is your pb...i would take the effort to make an official entry. The genetics may not go on..but it has value in another way. Recently, I received an email from a grower in Germany. I did not know this grower...but with utilization of the tomato database..I could see he has been growing since 2012. The tomato data base is not meant to record every tomato grown...the data base usage of that would be immense. But 1st tomato yes, pb's yes. The yearly "early tomato" gpc entries are easy to put into the long term data base. Tomatoes that are not official GPC can be added later if there is a reason.

Andy Corbin...waiting for the quote for colocation with a 10gb connection. I will find you some HP.

Appreciate it fellas. Just didn't want to be the guy they roll their eyes at when they see how small it is. Sounds like a good rule. PBs only.

There are more reasons to enter a tomato than just pb. My point was I am growing 100 plants. Look at each individual situation..do you want a GPC marker for this year even though it is not as big as you would like.
