Here in Pennsylvania things are going slowly. I have a few big blossoms on my plants but not as many as I had hoped for. My plants are taller than usual due to the wet weather we have been having. It will be a near miracle if I get anything very big this year. I hope the other members of the "A Team" are doing well enough to carry me. I am thinking maybe I should haul all of the soil in my garden away and bring in some new. How are the rest of you doing?

I'm somewhat discouraged this year. Although I started two weeks later this year on purpose, I had sunflower like megablooms this time last year. Hail busted up my plants pretty good a few weeks ago, especially the tops where the first flowers would of been. Luckily I didn't pick off the first two suckers on each plant. They are growing out. I'll end up getting something out of my 25 plants, just a few weeks later this year. We finally have temps in the 80's later this week. Plants have been begging for heat. Hey, my onions have been doing much better than expected. Around 40 of them are softball size and larger. Leaves still green and growing. Excited about these! Now what to do with them all..

I can’t complain too much.
Most first truss blossoms haven’t been much with the exception of 2 plants.
It’s finally quit raining here.
Now just waiting to see what I can get on the next trusses.
That ol ZacHeart might not be doing too bad....

Not getting the same megablooms that i was getting the last two years but still some nice ones. Im hoping i get a few nice ones from my Domingos but they are only flowering right now. I will wait till they set before i say to much ? Its been hot and wet this year, i think that im getting more plant and smaller flowers because of it !!!

I am so late this year that I cant complain. At least I am two weeks ahead of last year on the tomatoes. My onions started good but went down quickly...thinking I might pick a two pounder this week. My soil pot mixture just didnt agree with them. Pumpkins are rocking..going to be pollinating in about a week. Plenty of time to grow pretty orange. Still have a chance to set pb. Tomatoes, I have a lot. About 1/4 of them are from the 4.38 lineage. These might not break 7 pounds, if early growth is an indication,!but last year these were great in late season conditions. I think I will have something to bring to Gale Woods. Good luck competitors..remember september is what is going to separate the winners.

Bnot, I am further behind than you. I think I started after you. I had just finished germinating when we did our plant swap. My tomato plants are finally get big enough to put into 20 gallon pots. Too busy with work, home repair, yard work, and other things. At least I am keeping up with a fertilizing schedule. I use pots otherwise they end in the shade part of my yard. I just have to move the pots when I mow the lawn. My plants could be peaking when Gale Woods comes around.

Marv I have been in the same boat as you...record wet weather here. I have some larger plants too but things are looking up. I've been getting some better blooms in the past week with this drier, hot weather. Hayden is going to carry the team!

Thank you Haden. I feel like I need someone to carry me. But it is early yet. We will see.
