Go Weird Wint, I just saw on your diary that caterpillar was measuring over 24 inches. That could be 5+ pound range. I tried checking tomato.giantstogrow.com to see what the number in Ca to beat is..but the info there is not accurate. If I am not mistaken Chris Dunn (So Cal Grower) has the record. Someone let us know what it is. Remember Austin...cross all your T's and dot the I's. Remember over the winter we made you submit an entry that could not be questioned. And don't pick big cat' too early...get as much out of it as you can.

Looking good Austin ! I’m guessing 5 lbs easy. You do realize that since you are new you have to give everyone seeds from that right ? It’s in the fine print when you signed up !
Lol. Good luck man,looks good.

I'm pretty sure Chris broke his own record last year with a 5.71

Last year's biggest recorded tomato on the GPC Tomato page in CA was John Brinkley at 4.00 pounds.

Couldn't find 5.71 either unless the info is kept in some secret location. Thats a super cool looking tomato Wint. Lots of tomato bling on that one! Did you mix up the LaRue seeds with the "toe" mato seeds?

In 2016 there was a 4.99 pound entry from Timmons (teamB) Don & Brenda. That is the largest recorded weight I can find. I do have seeds from Chris Dunn's 5.71 tomato. Not sure why he wouldn't weigh it officially?

I sure hope I didn't mix them up! that would be a rookie move. Does look more "Toe"mato blingy than the other LaRue I have growing...hmmmm

Either way you grew your own "toe"mato you can show off. Much more bling than my "toe"mato was. This why you are Weird Wint.

The GPC early entry form is the standard and rule we all go by. Otherwise it is just a "big" tomato.

Be patient. It takes time to show up on the 2018 GPC page.
