Seeing lots of stress from all day sun yesterday looks like plants might abort nearly every blossom... can they recover once they start to getting yellow or just a fools hope? Its slightly yellow on the stem of 8 of 10 or so good sized mega blooms.
Fools gold on our flower stems? Sorry no pic at the moment... Later maybe. Is abort imminent or is it possible they can change their mind

If you are not getting a tomato 5 days after it flowers and the stem is yellowing then it is likely aborting. I will often see a tomato about 3-4 days after the flower opens.

Thanks. Any way to tell if the cause was plant stress or nutrition or lack of pollination? I think this was lack of water or nutrition i guess if it was just lack of pollination the stem would remain green and not break off but the tomato would never develop?

Sounds like blossom drop. Happened to almost all of mine last year when the temperature jumped from low 80s to mid 90s over a couple of days.
