So are we all starting tomato's soon? Getting our ducks line up? This is the year! This board has been dead. We need to make it come alive again.

I don't think my onions look great. The tallest leaves are about 3 feet long, but they don't have any strength...the just bend and flop down over the little support I made for them. I will be happy when they get outside, maybe they will start to perk up then. Snow needs to melt soon, I have big plans for this spring....going to double my garden...in depth. 50 cu yds mixed, tested, remixed, retested headed to my house by May 1, if the weather cooperates. Plan is for only 320 sq ft of tomatoes, 20 plants. ZacHeart will be one of the 20. Still deciding on the other 19.

I'll plant maybe five Zac Heart's Robert. It's easy to get carried away. I plan on putting 30 in the garden this year, not as many as last year. More focused genetics only. A quick germination with some heat, lights, choose the best, then in the garden in 3 weeks. Covered with protection from early June weather. Drip irrigation, not overhead. One bushel gourd, two cucumbers, a dozen large bell peppers, dozens of onions, and a monster carrot grown in a giant pot that I will call carrot cake.

My total planned lineup for outdoors is 1 AG pumpkin, 1 squash, 20 tomatoes (choosing which seeds is going to be difficult), 1 cucumber,3 carrots, 4 onions, 2 watermelons, 6 giant bell peppers, and then I think I am out of room. If I can squeeze a long gourd next to my garage, I might try one..just to have a chance to qualify for master grower.

Yea Bob I’m in your boat, my onions don’t look good, of everything I’m growing indoors they look the worst....it is my first time so maybe this is that ugly teen stage, but I’m hoping they takeoff outside. I did go out to the garden today and I’m down to 5-6 inches of snow on my garden. This winter sucks!!

You might want to add big head sunflower to your list. I emailed Joe Ailts about this competition. We could discuss at meeting on Saturday.
