Little Ketchup

Grittyville, WA

They can have a lot of scabby parts. Was thinking about getting one of these (cheaper on amazon)...

Even if it didn’t make sauce, at least it would make a soup base.

Cut some of the good parts out for salsa or sandwiches and run the rest through one of these?? Or is it like AG’s no one actually eats them?

How can you eat your babies...i have alway hated eating raw tomato...why do i grow them? I do like tomato sauces though. Before the giants the only tomato I had ever grown was some Roma's.

No culinary value for me. I don't think of them as food. I only pick like 10 of those, days apart so not worth the effort. Plus, who knows what I put on the..Sulphur, ect. The big one's I keep I smash up for seeds. The other side of the garden is where the eating tomatoes are.

..and the eating tomatoes I cut into thirds and put on my Traeger barbecue and half smoke/dehydrate them, then make spaghetti sauce. The best use of a bounty of tomatoes!

If you have not tried them yet do it. They taste far better than anything you can buy in store!
