I have had a few emails of people wondering when the teams will be chosen and who is going to be in charge of selecting the teams and keeping track of the results. A firm date of when a grower has to sign up by and knowing who to send questions to would be helpful.

Oh... Now you want quick answers ...what happened to stringing it out over the winter?..lol....Rebel and I will be picking teams...by jan 1st... You may still enter after team selection but need to pull a 3 member(non-loaded team)..hard deadline for entry is April 1st ...

By then we'll know who has what and that will not be fair! We need to do it now! so we can help each other out on our individual teams,by the 1st its to late to help a team mate out.

I think January 1st is plenty of time..the only thing that will change between then and now is the winter grow challenge. Don't worry Dan...whatever your team is will probably be the early favorite. January 1st until spring gives a lot of time to share secrets. This is for the team championship for 2018. I might have to come up with a guess the weight contest for the total of the winning team. I think the C group is going to be the most important factor. Easier to go from 2 pounds to 5 pounds than it is to go from 7 to 10.

By the 1st everyone will have something growing, and depending on what it's growing in will make a huge difference, and by then it would be to late to transplant it to something else or change the contents of the growing medium. So that's the reason I think we should do it now.

What, you start your tomatoes by January 1st? I think you need to start telling us these secrets...I was thinking that by May 1st for a tomato start.

? what kind of comment is this Master P...idiot challenge = winter challenge. Waiting to see what you can grow under lights Dan MacCoy. That comment did not sit well with me.

Look, I see this group as that we are all some of the best of friends without none of us ever meeting. That's what makes the tomato community so great. With that being said, some of this stuff needs to roll off our back. We all know that Master P's sentence structure isn't the best but he is working on it. Dan S., your still in. This group needs you in the 2018 challenge.

I still want to be on Dan S's team. I am sure he will send me a tanker of Walla Walla water. It is true, we seem to be all friends. That is one thing that makes the tomato board special.

I am glad this team grow deal got started! I always start tomatoes along with the entire gpc package of fruits and veggies but by July cant find em for weeds and the lack of tomato effort. Ya'll will hold me mater accountable :)

No skipping the mater plants and going to just the kins, melons, or gourds for me in 2018! I can't let my team down; and I am sure to make new friends and learn a ton whether I break my 5 lb goal or not. Looking forward to it everyone!

It is ok master P...Sometimes i do feel like an idiot with this indoor growing. But at least i am a happy doing it. I am sure I can come up with some crazy idea for growing next summer. Should be able to help my team with a 3 pounder..i am good at them. But first...back to shopping for the idiot challenge...next on the list 50 micron misting nozzles..

You know I like this topic better than you guys talking about nailing tomatoes. I couldn't stop laughing at how that would sound around the water cooler. We need some qtip humor here but I think he is in the woods.

The idiot challenge starts in Los Angeles Q! You should know that my friend.

Get your butt out here and I'll let you in.

Master P, Bob, Steve,,,,,,,,, everyone join!
